Our Labor Of Love..!
Late nights, long days, LOTS of time in front of the computer... Resizing, retouching, re-choosing, re-doing, that pretty much sums up our latest "Labor Of Love", Our new website!! It's a statement of who you are, showcasing your brand... No pressure, no really none.. HA..!
We recently launched our site www.studio28photo.com with the help of the ever so great tool, ShowIt Sites. We first learned about ShowIt Sites on a FAQ post by the Uber Fabulous Jasmine Star and what a lifesaver it has become. Kyle, the webmaster extraordinaire is the true genius behind the site. We launched, we tweaked, we relaunched and now we are up and running.!! So please check it out the site and let us know what you think.
Enjoy.!!

We Set Our Timer.. And Ran!!!!
Beeeeep Beeeeeep Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppp!!!!! The familiar sound of the alarm went off bright and early on an unfamiliar day to get up bright and early... SUNDAY! 6 AM... The ever-annoying buzzer alerted us that it was time to get up and get going. What on earthwould cause us to rustle out of the cozy covers and stumble out of bed on the weekend? "Set Your Timer & Run!!" That's what..
I came across The Modern Type blog , http://www.themoderntypeblog.com/ a few weeks ago and it was quickly established as a permanent read on my Google reader. Last week she announced the, "Set Your Timer & Run Contest.." How fun I thought follow immediately by why did I not think of that. So Sunday we pulled ourselves out of bed and had such a fun time trying to do a photo shoot of ourselves. We laughed as we scrambled to set the timer, run, pose, smile and the "did we get it?" It was so much fun and definitely a new tradition here at Studio 28 Photo.. Great idea.. Hope you enjoy the photos..

Look How Coooolll This Is...
More and more I find myself looking around at our surroundings and thinking, "hummmm wouldn't this be a great place to shoot!," and then I make a mental log to come back to that spot camera in hand ready to shoot a lovely couple..
It's funny how places I used to drive past everyday and pay no attention to, I are now like, "now that place is amazing..." Here are a couple photos from one of those great places..! I will file this one for a great couple to come..

Pink Balloons & A Wedding Dress
Juxtaposition.. that is what we were going for, white wedding dress with a pair of Chuck Taylor's, some dirt trails with blue skies and a bunch of pink balloons. I love quirky, something not quite right but not wrong, just different.. unique.. and original.
Ashley was down for just about anything as we hiked around the trails above Laguna Beach, while Caleb was the ever-amazing camera bag carrier and we proceeded to have a great time! We started hiking the trails and we ended up under the detergent dispenser in a random stop by the local laundry mat.
It was a great day for pink balloons and a wedding dress..!
Thanks Ashley..!

Here's what I know...
There is always that scene in a movie where the main character has a revelation that will make it all make sense. One of my favorites comes from Tom Hanks in Castaway... it is the end of the movie, the love of his life is married to another man and he has lost her for a second time. As he is sharing his sentiment to a friend he knows he can keep going because, "tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?"
Maybe the beach lover in me is drawn to this quote because I find tides fascinating and they usually predict the surf, but I also love the theory behind it. You never know what will come your way, but you do know tomorrow the sun will rise and who knows what will happen.

Between emails, Twitter, Facebook. blogging, calling and just keeping it all in the air this quote reminds me to stop and look up from my to-do list and look for the unexpected.
And in the spirit of the tropics.. here is a pic from our vacation over the holidays.
Cheers!
