We now have graduated to a new blog that we are more than excited about and are "moving" so please make sure you continue to follow us at our new address:

Christmas Road Trip... Part 2.

What a Christmas... we opened gifts, ate great food and were very merry and blessed!! All said and done we had a fabulous time but soon we had to head back down the 101 freeway and start the trip home. Here's a little tip, if anyone can ever drive the Oregon coast.. DO IT! It is truly breathtakingly beautiful.

It was a amazing trip, first stop was Cannon Beach, Oregon, with beaches as far as you can see, crashing waves, and the best part these crazy huge rocks that line the coast on the beach. We traveled down the coast and decided to call it a night at the Surfrider Resort (Ha. resort is a bit of a stretch) but in the spirit of the adventure it was unexpected and fun!

The next day we continued down the 101 freeway and explored even more of the coast. We saw so many EMPTY waves, it was sad to drive past them without even the chance for a little surf... Summer road trip perhaps!! One of our favorite highlights of the second day was this little cove we stumbled upon while looking for a lighthouse (never really saw the actual lighthouse). We looked at the ocean and noticed hundreds of seals.. and the best part.. they were surfing.. we saw one little seal catch a wave almost all the way into the beach!! It was so cool to see animals in there element doing something we try to do but don't do nearly as well as these little pro surfer seals do!!

We saw so much of the coastline that it makes us want to get in the car and see where the road takes us! Hopefully we will do that soon again and of course we will share the photos!!

Cheers!

Our First Year As... Studio 28 Photo!

Its a bit crazy to sit here and think, holy crap its 2010... where did 2009 go? For Kyle and I it has been a whirlwind of a year!

We started our business. We officially launched Studio 28 Photo, and it has been a labor of love, one of the hardest and most rewarding things we have undertaken together. We are so excited and proud of the things we have done and the things we have coming. We laid the foundation of our brand, discovered a new passion, officially became bloggers and tweeters, and during it all have been having a great time! 2009 was about the basics for us, and as we set goals for 2010 we are striving to be more creative, unique, fun, carefree, driven, loyal, passionate, original, outgoing, and continuing to build a brand that is meaningful to us and the people whose lives we are blessed to be apart of.

All in all 2009 was an amazing year. Looking back at all the photos we have taken threw the year we are excited to attack 2010 with a renewed vigor and passion. We feel so blessed to have family that supports us, friends that encourage us (and occasionally act as our fabulous models) and are looking forward to see what 2010 brings us. Here is a look back at 2009 and some of our favorite photos.

Cheers to 2010!

Make sure to check out our archives from this past year for the full posts of the selected photos above..!! We wish all the best for all in 2010!!

Christmas Road Trip... Part 1.

Kyle and I are not native Southern Californians..  Kyle is originally from Wisconsin and I am from Seattle.  For us the holidays involve a lot of travel.  Planes, and trains is normally how we get home for the holidays.. but this year we added automobiles..   We decided to take a different approach... "ROAD TRIP" and make it an adventure!

We started out and headed straight up to San Fransisco for our first stop.. arriving at our hotel, Hotel Vitale Chloe received the royal treatment, she got her own bed, bowl and bath towel, which made her quite the VIP doggie.   That night we ventured downtown and for some night photography and explored the city.

From San Fran. we stayed on the 101 freeway and took our time heading up through the Redwoods.. and, "WOW," what an amazing drive!! Such a phenomenon..  with the rain and all!! We came upon a downed giant redwood and when a tree trunk base is larger than our car, that is something that is truly incredible!!

Now up in Seattle for Christmas it is so great to be home with family.. We hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and be on the look out for our Christmas Road Trip.. Part 2. We will be taking the 101 freeway down the Oregon coast and from there we will see where the road takes us!!

Merry Christmas from Kyle, Chloe and I here at s28!!!
